Using QuizLlama
QuizLlama lets you build, host, and play trivia quizzes, either from scratch, from a spreadsheet import, from our built-in question banks, or generated by AI. You don't need an account to use the core features — quizzes you build are reachable via a private link containing a secret key. Signing in with Google (where enabled) is optional and just makes it easier to find quizzes you've made.
Content you submit
Whether typed into the builder, imported from a spreadsheet, or generated with AI, you're responsible for the quiz content you create and share. By submitting content, you confirm you have the right to use it and you grant us the right to store and display it as part of running the service (e.g. showing it to players in your game).
Acceptable use
You may not submit or attempt to submit content that:
- Sexualizes minors, or is otherwise illegal to possess or distribute;
- Contains non-consensual sexual content, or sexualizes a real identifiable person without their consent;
- Promotes, praises, or gives actionable instructions for terrorism or mass violence;
- Is explicit hate speech or harassment targeting a protected group (race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability);
- Gives actionable, step-by-step instructions for making weapons, explosives, or illegal drugs;
- Infringes someone else's copyright or other intellectual property rights;
- Is spam, or is submitted to abuse or overload the service (see our robots.txt and rate limits).
Ordinary trivia questions about history, science, current events, or true crime — even on serious subjects — are fine. The line is content that itself constitutes or promotes one of the categories above, not content that merely discusses a serious topic academically.
How we check
Content submitted via spreadsheet import, the quiz builder, and AI generation is checked against the categories above before it's saved — some checks are automated, and content may also be reviewed by a human. We may reject a submission, remove content, or suspend access for content or use that violates this policy. Automated checks can make mistakes in both directions; if your legitimate content was blocked, see the contact details below.
No warranty
QuizLlama is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. AI-generated questions may contain factual errors — review them before hosting a game.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will update the date at the top of this page.
