QuizThe fastest way to understand QuizLlama is to just play a round. The Demo link at the top of every page does exactly that — no account, no quiz to build, no PIN to remember.
What happens when you click it
- QuizLlama pulls 5 random questions from the full question bank — the same mixed pool as the "Surprise Me" option on the homepage, so you might get geography, movies, science, sports, or anything else in one round.
- You land on a solo practice screen: pick a difficulty (which sets the per-question timer — 30s easy, 20s normal, 10s hard) and hit Start.
- You answer 5 questions with the same countdown timer, scoring, and reveal screens used in a real hosted game.
- At the end you get a score, how many you got right, and a question-by-question review of your answers vs. the correct ones.
How this differs from hosting a real game
The demo is single-player and disposable — it's there to show you the experience, not to be a game you invite people to. A real quiz night means building or picking a quiz, opening the host screen, and having players join with a PIN on their own phones. Every quiz you create (including from the question bank) also gets its own Practice mode, which works the same way as the demo but lets you pick the question count and reuse it any time — handy for previewing a quiz before you put it in front of a crowd.
FAQ
Does the demo save anything? It creates a quiz behind the scenes so the practice screen has something to play, but there's nothing you need to keep or come back to — just close the tab when you're done.
Can I choose the topic? Not in the demo — it's a random mix on purpose, to show off the range of the question bank. Once you build or pick a real quiz, you choose the category.
